I am a passionate wildlife biologist originally from Brazil. I traded in long expeditions into the Amazon for a life in North America. Back in Brazil, my professional career has been diverse. It ranged from traveling with children on educational and historical trips across the country to countless demanding expeditions to the heart of the Amazon jungle in order to collect and document reptiles for research. These roles required enormous responsibility, patience, perseverance, adaptability and an ability to work well and lead other members of my team.

Upon my arrival in Canada, I started volunteering at the Royal Ontario Museum in 2 different areas: Education as a biology instructor and research at the DNA lab (Laboratory of Molecular Systematics). Both experiences were extremely valuable and being able to share my knowledge with visitors and kids was priceless. Moving forward I concluded my Ph.D. degree at the University of Toronto and continue the research career I started in Brazil. Currently, I work in several projects involving the biodiversity of Amphibians and Reptiles as a Research Associate at the Herpetological Collection of the Royal Ontario Museum,
